Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS, ensure traceability and governance of aircraft seating configurations across lifecycle. You will drive engineering change control, collaborate with PM and Change boards, and optimise Windchill PLM deployment for efficiency.

Experience in aerospace, CMII Level 6, and CATIA/PLM expertise are highly valued. The role is based in Cwmbran, with a comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering (or HNC/HND).
• CMII Level 6 certification is preferred.
• Experience with PLM systems and CAD tools (CATIA V5, SmarTeam).
• Strong knowledge of configuration management in aerospace/automotive contexts.
• Familiar with Boeing and Airbus specifications and DMU environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CMS, maintain governance and traceability across configurations.
• Improve engineering change control processes and manage Change Control Boards.
• Align CMS with group processes, QMS, and regulatory standards.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimise CMS performance.
• Produce reports and collaborate with Change and Programme Management teams.
