Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our MRO operations, assembling and testing Airbus Single Aisle family gears. You will work within a diverse team to meet weekly shipset targets and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires a mechanical aptitude, an engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ, and experience with precision measuring, drawings, and service documentation. Training leads to a salary progression and a shift premium.

Qualifications

  • Engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in aerospace/manufacturing.
  • Experience reading maintenance manuals, drawings and service bulletins.
  • Ability to inspect and test using precision measuring equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuitry for harnesses testing.
  • Knowledge of Lean Sigma and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, main gears, and sidestays, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of assembly and testing processes.
  • Deliver a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
