Job summary

Safran Landing Systems is seeking a Service Engineer in Gloucester, UK, with on-site work and travel across the UK/EU. You will inspect, repair, test, and certify aircraft landing gear systems and components, while interpreting manuals and ensuring airworthiness.

The role requires an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent and a strong mechanical/technical aptitude, with travel and safety at the forefront of daily activities.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on toolkit skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, overhaul, assemble and test aircraft landing gear systems and components.
• Conduct on-site maintenance, repair and recertification activities at customer facilities worldwide.
• Diagnose faults, assess component condition and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, service bulletins and airworthiness documentation.
• Carry out detailed inspections and testing using specialist equipment.
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and urgent customer requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records and certification documentation.
• Prepare and manage tooling used during maintenance activities.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental and airworthiness standards.
• Build customer relationships and represent Safran professionally.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
