Safran Landing Systems seeks a Landing Gear Service Technician to inspect, repair, test and recertify aircraft landing gear systems for customers worldwide. You will work at customer sites and our maintenance facility, performing checks, disassembly, rework, assembly and testing with precision tools while ensuring airworthiness compliance.

As a Landing Gear Service Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting airlines and maintenance organisations around the world by carrying out the inspection, repair, testing and recertification of aircraft landing gear systems. Working both at customer locations and within our specialist maintenance facility, you will help ensure aircraft components are returned to service safely, efficiently and in full compliance with airworthiness requirements. This is a varied and rewarding position that combines hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving and direct customer interaction, offering opportunities to develop your expertise across a range of aircraft programmes and international environments. Your responsibilities will include: Carry out the inspection, repair, overhaul, assembly and testing of aircraft landing gear systems and associated equipment in accordance with approved maintenance data and airworthiness requirements. Support onsite maintenance and recertification activities at customer facilities worldwide, including disassembly, inspection, local repairs, bushing, assembly and functional testing of landing gear units. Diagnose technical issues, assess component condition and determine appropriate repair actions to restore products to the required standards of performance, reliability and safety. Interpret component maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, technical instructions, service bulletins and airworthiness documentation to complete maintenance activities accurately and efficiently. Perform detailed inspections using a variety of precision measuring and testing equipment to verify product conformity and support certification requirements. Exercise certification responsibilities in accordance with the relevant airworthiness authority approvals and company authorisations. Respond to customer operational requirements, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and urgent maintenance requests, delivering responsive and professional technical support. Build positive working relationships with customers, providing clear communication, technical guidance and regular updates throughout maintenance activities. Prepare and maintain specialised tooling and equipment required for onsite maintenance operations, ensuring tools remain serviceable, controlled and compliant. Complete risk assessments and follow all health, safety and environmental requirements to support safe working practices, including activities involving working at height and specialist access equipment. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality and operational teams to resolve technical challenges and support timely delivery of customer commitments. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, reducing turnaround times, improving efficiency and strengthening customer satisfaction. But what else?
