Job summary

Safran Landing Systems seeks a Landing Gear Service Technician to inspect, repair, test and recertify aircraft landing gear systems for customers worldwide. You will work at customer sites and our maintenance facility, performing checks, disassembly, rework, assembly and testing with precision tools while ensuring airworthiness compliance.

The role requires travelling globally, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering Apprenticeship plus 5 years' experience in aviation environment or equivalent.
• Experience with landing gear maintenance and overhaul.
• Ability to interpret Component Maintenance Manuals, technical drawings and instructions.
• High level of dexterity with attention to detail.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Understanding of electrical circuits and safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel at short notice to worldwide destinations.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, repair, overhaul, assembly and testing of landing gear systems in accordance with maintenance data and airworthiness requirements.
• Support onsite maintenance and recertification activities at customer facilities worldwide.
• Diagnose issues, assess condition and determine repair actions to restore performance and safety.
• Interpret manuals and drawings to complete maintenance accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for traceability and certification.
