Job summary

Safran UK is seeking an OEM Assembly Fitter to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will assemble complex components and perform production acceptance testing to tight specifications, interpreting drawings and instructions to ensure quality and safety at every step.

Working across Days, Lates, Nights and Weekends, you will apply 5S and continuous improvement practices, performing turning and grinding, and developing tooling as needed to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 completed; advanced apprenticeship completed.
• Aerospace or Automotive mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of specifications, procedures and quality standards.
• Flexibility to work across shifts and support continuous improvement.
• Skilled in assembly techniques with turning and grinding; electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Committed to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and perform production acceptance testing to spec.
• Interpret technical drawings, specs and test instructions.
• Apply 5S and continuous improvement to maintain high standards.
• Perform turning and grinding operations; design or make tooling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FOD and COSHH during all activities.
