Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Bridgend to service, diagnose, and repair vehicles to high standards. You will perform complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and carry out DVSA MOT testing.

With a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and at least 4 years of workshop experience, you will handle diagnostics and routine servicing while pursuing MOT Tester training to expand your qualifications.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience carrying out diagnostic work and more complex repairs.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work including complex tasks.
• Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and document results.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Maintain and repair vehicles to high standards to keep customers safe on the road.
