Job summary

Halfords in Southampton is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service, repair and diagnose vehicles at our Autocentres. You will work on clutches, timing belts and electrical systems as part of a skilled team.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served) and a full clean driving licence. The role is full-time with a competitive salary and an uncapped bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience.
• Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work on brakes, steering/suspension, engine and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
