Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? Leeds City Council are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join their busy Learning Disability West Team on a locum basis. As part of the Learning Disability Teamyou will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities across the Leeds area. You will carry out assessments, reviews, safeguarding enquiries and care planning under the Care Act 2014 ensuring that service users receive appropriate support while maintaining independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake statutory assessments, reviews and risk assessments under the Care Act 2014
  • Lead and contribute to safeguarding adults enquiries
  • Work in partnership with service users, families, health professionals and partner agencies
  • Manage a complex caseload with a focus on risk, protection and empowerment
  • Ensure legal and statutory requirements are met with clear accurate documentation
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Strong understanding of adult safeguarding, risk managementand Care Act duties
  • Excellent communication, organisational and report writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
