Administrator / Receptionist

Location: Medway
Salary: A£22,932 per annum plus benefits
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator/Receptionist.

Role / Team overview

The Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive business administration support to the Drug & Alcohol Treatment Service in Medway. The service delivers clinical and psychosocial interventions, group work, holistic therapies, and additional interventions for adults seeking support for substance misuse issues in Medway.

The main responsibility is to deliver administrative support for the service and act as front of house in a client-facing role.

Key tasks will include
  1. Creating a welcoming environment in the reception and waiting area.
  2. Supporting clinic attendance management and appointment bookings.
  3. Dealing with queries from service users, the public, and professionals via face-to-face, telephone, or email communication.
  4. Maintaining effective communication to ensure information reaches the appropriate person or department.

You will also support the wider administrative team with data input, clinical administration, and developing communications with local partnerships.

Flexibility is required, including some evening/weekend shifts with reasonable notice, to ensure continuity of care for clients.

The ideal candidate will have
  • A business studies or administrative qualification (or be studying towards).
  • Experience with Microsoft packages and case management systems.
  • Experience supporting administration or working as a receptionist in a large team, demonstrating ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of dealing with all levels and working independently.
  • Proactivity, resilience, adaptability, confidence, teamwork, openness to feedback, and an innovative mindset.
