Job summary

Sue Ryder is seeking a Senior Administrator to support our end-of-life care services. The role involves handling general administration, data entry, payroll support, and coordinating meetings while maintaining confidential information and efficient office systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Educated to GCSE standard (Maths and English).
  • IT and Systems skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative duties and handle telephone enquiries, including complex situations.
  • Input data onto current IT systems and produce reports; use spreadsheets for service activity reporting.
  • Provide information to other departments to support processes including payroll.
  • Maintain safe, secure and efficient office systems; handle confidential data.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings; take minutes and prepare necessary background papers in advance.
  • Support staff with documentation and paperwork; contribute to a positive, efficient team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong IT and financial administration skills and excellent communication.

  • General administrative duties and dealing with telephone enquiries, which may entail dealing with complex situations
  • Inputting of data onto current IT systems and collecting data to produce reports as required. Working efficiently at an advanced level with spreadsheets to provide accurate reports of service activity. Producing documentation using word processing and other software including clinical software packages
  • Responsible for providing information to other departments to support their processes including payroll
  • Maintaining safe, secure and efficient office systems management and filing and to ensure safe handling of confidential data
  • Coordination and attendance of meetings, minute taking and follow up if and when required. Ensuring that all relevant paperwork and background papers are prepared and available in advance, The work we do matters, and so do the people who make it possible.   • Experience administrator with a natural talent for organisation and a genuine passion for supporting people.
  • Confident managing time-sensitive workloads, coordinating rotas, and keeping operations running seamlessly, supporting different colleagues and teams along the way.
  • Strong IT and financial administration skills,
  • Excellent communication, with a discreet, supportive approach.
  • Ability to lead by example and contribute to a positive, efficient team environment.
Minimum Essential criteria:
  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional setting
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification/experience)
  • Educated to GCSE standard (Maths and English)
  • IT and Systems skills

  • Healthcare/Clinical Administration experience
