This role involves ensuring the administrative service is appropriately resourced and supports the needs of the Cancer MDTs and their patients. The post holder will motivate and support the administrative workforce, fostering a patient-centred approach and promoting continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, patient care, and cost-effectiveness across the Trust.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant SOPs and maintaining high standards of information security, safeguarding confidentiality of patients and staff. The post holder will also uphold the professional image of the Trust through their leadership and approach.
Based in the Cancer MDT Department, the Administrative Services Manager will provide business support to the Cancer Services team, managing Admin Line Managers to effectively support MDT teams. This includes scheduling workloads, supporting team meetings through effective communication, and refining MDT administrative processes.
Collaboration with managers within the service will ensure consistency and sharing of best practices. The post holder will act as a key link between administrative staff and senior management, cascading information appropriately and keeping the Cancer Performance Manager informed of relevant issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and proactive individual to support Cancer Services and contribute to high-quality patient care.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week.
