Job summary

NHS Professionals in Barnstaple is seeking an Admin Support to cover phone shifts, direct incoming queries, and redirect patients. You will also book follow-up appointments, action emails, and support a diverse team within the NHS.

Job Title: Admin Support

Trust Location: Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS FT

Location: Devonshire House, Riverside Rd, Barnstaple EX31 1SW

Hours: 30 hours per week

Working Pattern: 4 Days a Week (9am-4pm)

Duration: 1 Months

Job Summary:

We are looking for either a Band 2, to cover our phones shifts, picking up incoming queries and redirecting patients when they call in to the depart. This would also involve the booking of some follow up appointments, actioning and sending emails and working to support a diverse team.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office
  • Good Communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
System Knowledge:

Knowledge of Epic, telephone skills, emails
