Job summary

A regional health authority is seeking an Administration Clerk to support child health services in the community. The successful candidate will assist the Health Visiting Team Leader, manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and maintain accurate records using specific systems. Ideally, applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs including IT, experience in administrative roles, and knowledge of child health systems. Being able to communicate in Welsh is desirable. Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join the Health Visiting service as an Administration Clerk to play a key role in supporting child health services across the community.

The post-holder will work with the Health Visiting Team Leader and Health Visiting Team, offering administrative support. You will share responsibility for providing practical support in using the Cypris (Child Health System) to answer queries, arrange appointments for Health staff and carry out general filing duties.

The post holder will also need to be trained in navigating the WCCIS system which is the Health Visiting data base.

Main duties of the job

You will provide vital administrative support to the Health Visiting Team, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key responsibilities include managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and maintaining accurate records using the Cypris child health system. You'll handle telephone enquiries professionally, assist with health promotion activities and events, coordinate training, and manage resources.

This role also requires adherence to Health Board policies, confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding standards at all times. If you're organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting families, please apply for this role.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
