Job summary

Castle Education is partnering with a friendly primary school in Kirkbymoorside to appoint an Additional Needs Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis. The role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil, adapting activities to individual needs and promoting confidence in a positive learning setting.

You will work closely with teaching staff, recording observations and contributing to progress updates, while helping implement behaviour support strategies when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting.
• A caring, patient and flexible approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• A proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to pupil development.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Castle Education is working with a friendly primary school in the Kirkbymoorside area, who are looking to appoint a caring and committed Additional Needs Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with individual pupils and adapting their approach to meet different learning needs.

You will provide dedicated support to a child with additional needs, helping them engage with learning, develop confidence and work towards their individual targets in a positive and nurturing environment.
