Job summary

Castle Education is seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our network of schools across Kirkbymoorside, supporting children with a range of additional needs.

You may work in mainstream settings or specialist roles, with opportunities to help children with autism, ADHD, speech and language, or social and emotional needs. DBS checks and references required. We offer flexible and full-time options, with pay £95–£120 per day and access to CPD and local educational consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
• DBS check and satisfactory references are required.
• Ability to adapt to varying pupil needs and school environments.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional challenges.
• Assist in mainstream classes as directed by teachers and SEN staff.
• Collaborate with teaching teams to implement individualized support plans and track progress.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (within mainstream)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Location: Kirkbymoorside

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, have worked in a specialist setting, or have transferable experience from care, youth work, residential settings or other roles supporting children and young people, we would love to hear from you.

Depending on the school and pupil, you may support children with:

• Autism and communication needs
• ADHD
• Social, emotional and mental health needs
• Learning difficulties
• Physical or sensory needs
• Speech, language and communication needs
• Behaviour that can be challenging
