Overview

The Catering Manager will lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for our guests and staff. You\'ll manage kitchen operations, maintain strict hygiene standards, and ensure all dietary needs are safely met. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone passionate about food, teamwork and delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure high-quality meals are prepared and served.
  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and uphold strict hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all dietary needs are safely met for guests and staff.
  • Maintain a hands-on leadership presence in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative work culture and effective communication within the team.
Qualifications
  • Applicants for full-time or fixed-term contracts: staff must be 18 years old or above. For casual contracts, applicants should be aged 16 and above and able to demonstrate confidence leading activities with both adults and children.
  • Willingness to wear a company uniform (provided) and presentably dressed.
  • Experience supervising groups of children or adults, either on adventurous activities or in a sporting/club setting, is preferred.
  • Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check required; if not held, arrangement can be made through Stubbers Adventure Centre. Must also provide at least 3 references, including your last employer.
  • Desirable qualifications include National Governing Body (NGB) coaching awards in kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, climbing, archery or rifle shooting; full training is provided for applicants without formal coaching awards.
