The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing engaging activities for the residents at the Magna Care Centre, a 69-bed residential, dementia care, and nursing home in Wimborne, Dorset. This full-time role requires working alternate weekends and a driver's license. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and preparation skills to ensure that every resident can make the most of their day through a variety of activities and ideas.

Main duties of the job

As an Activities Coordinator at the Magna Care Centre, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the residents. This may include physical activities, arts and crafts, music and entertainment, excursions, and more. You will work closely with the care team to understand the residents' capabilities and preferences, and tailor the activities accordingly. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as you will need to coordinate with staff, families, and external providers to deliver a high-quality activity program.
