Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Slough is seeking a delivery driver on a fixed-term basis to cover a 6-month contract. You will work a 30-hour week on rotating shifts, including weekends, delivering letters and parcels in Slough and surrounding areas. You’ll build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

The role includes full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van. Applicants must hold a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
