Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Northolt is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, build relationships with customers, and work outdoors on a rotating shift including weekends.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, physical fitness for long walks and lifting mailbags, reliability, and self-motivation. Training, a uniform, and a red van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points
• Ability to pass driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van
• Physically fit for long walking distances and lifting mailbags

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
