Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Goole is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join the delivery team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot in the local area, and build strong relationships with customers.

This physically demanding role is outdoors in all weathers, with weekend shifts and a rotating rota. A full manual UK driving licence is required and driving assessments will be carried out.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit, able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10kg+ bags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
