Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Henfield is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract of 6 months. You will deliver letters and parcels, working 35 hours per week on a rotating schedule that includes weekends, with early shifts from 07:30 to 15:00 and flexibility to extend to 18:00 during peak periods.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and enjoy delivering to the community while working outdoors.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and organised in a busy environment
• Able to work outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers
