Job summary

Royal Mail Group in London is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9-month fixed-term contract, delivering letters and parcels in the capital. You will work a 30-hour week on a rotating shift, including some weekends, with a driving role in a red Royal Mail van.

You’ll carry out doorstep deliveries, walk up to 12 miles per day, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
