Accounts Payable Team Leader

Location: Isleworth

Role Profile

Bunzl UK & Ireland supplies over 100,000 products through various specialist distribution businesses, including food packaging, disposables, catering equipment, healthcare consumables, and cleaning and safety products to supermarkets, retailers, hotels, restaurants, and other sectors.

As Bunzl's outsourced recruitment partner, Cast UK is managing the recruitment for Bunzl's FSSC. We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Team Leader to support and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the initial contact for Accounts Payable Clerks, supporting team members with HR-related matters.
2. Plan resources effectively to ensure service delivery by the team.
3. Manage purchase invoice and payment queries, update tickets, liaise with suppliers, and seek resolutions proactively.
4. Perform monthly and ad-hoc supplier statement reconciliations.
5. Identify and implement process improvements and resolve recurring issues.
6. Monitor service delivery against daily/weekly plans.
7. Oversee invoices over and under 30 days old.
8. Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve issues.
9. Promote Bunzl's Health, Safety, and Environment policies and foster a positive, supportive team environment.
10. Conduct monthly 1:1s and annual appraisals with team members.

Skills & Experience

• Previous team leader or supervisor experience.
• Ability to follow documented, auditable processes.
• Knowledge of Sage or similar accounting systems.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and team spirit.
• Ability to manage demanding workloads and meet deadlines under pressure.
