Job summary

Vanilla Recruitment has an exciting Accounts Payable role in Fleckney. You will own the end-to-end purchase ledger across multiple group entities, liaising with suppliers in the UK and internationally. Hybrid working is available, with one day per week from home.

We are seeking an experienced AP professional who can handle high volumes, manage multi-currency payments and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting the finance team.

Qualifications

• Proven Accounts Payable experience within a busy finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience of processing high-volume and high-value transactions accurately.
• Previous experience managing payments in multiple currencies.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile financial information.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timely, match POs and obtain approvals for payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice, payment and PO queries.
• Generate and process supplier payments in multiple currencies, including scheduled and ad hoc payments.
• Maintain payment schedules, direct debit records and AP databases for cashflow management.
• Monitor the AP inbox, manage invoices, statements and supplier correspondence.
• Reconcile Goods Received Not Invoiced register and Preliminary Invoice reports, investigate discrepancies.
• Support wider finance team with admin duties and cover for colleagues.
