Job summary

Propel Consult is assisting an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a manufacturing organisation in Fleckney. You will own the end-to-end purchase ledger across multiple group companies, building strong relationships with UK and international suppliers.

The role offers hybrid working (1 day per week from home), 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, and on-site parking. You will work Mon-Thu 08:30-17:00 and Fri 08:30-16:00.

Qualifications

• Proven Accounts Payable experience within a busy finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience of processing high-volume and high-value transactions accurately.
• Previous experience managing payments in multiple currencies.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile financial information.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, matching purchase orders and obtaining approvals for payment.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice, payment and purchase order queries.
• Generating and processing supplier payments in multiple currencies, including scheduled and ad hoc payments, ensuring accurate allocation within the cash book.
• Maintaining payment schedules, direct debit records and accounts payable databases to support effective cashflow management.
• Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox, managing invoices, statements and supplier correspondence.
• Reconciling and maintaining the Goods Received Not Invoiced register and Preliminary Invoice reports, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Supporting the wider finance team with administrative duties and providing cover for colleagues where required.
