Role Description

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling subscriptions and other online advertising products. Your client base will range from small independent agents up to large customers including global property owners and fund managers, global brokerage businesses, hedge funds, private equity firms, real estate investment trusts and family offices. You will focus predominantly on new business, while also growing revenue from existing accounts. You will be assigned a territory with responsibility for account management of a limited number of existing clients from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, nurture and grow your existing client base with integrity.
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to selling, training and retaining clients.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of clients and their needs through a consultative sales approach.
  • Become an expert in LoopNet marketing solutions as the leading online commercial property marketplace in the UK.
  • Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, closing, onboarding, training and renewing accounts.
  • Conduct high-level in-person client and prospect product demonstrations.
  • Provide valuable market insight to participants in the commercial property market, including surveyors, owners, investors, lenders, local authorities and service providers.
  • Represent CoStar Group by hosting and attending industry events and networking with property professionals in your market.
Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining and growing clients over the medium and long term, with sales cycles that can run 3-12 months+
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and objection handling skills with the ability to explain complex proposals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to metrics in an intelligent, effective manner
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience
  • Consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time; you enjoy building relationships and problem-solving for clients
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate or asset management is advantageous, or a strong desire to learn and interest in market trends
  • Property portal or marketplace experience is advantageous
  • Ability to navigate large organizations and align decision-makers, influencers and blockers
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to the United States for training (approximately 3 weeks)
  • Current and valid driver’s license and satisfactory completion of a driving record check prior to start
