Job summary

Disrupt Talent is recruiting for a Birmingham-based role within a well established provider of project managed AV rental and staging services. The position blends client account management with hands-on project and technical delivery for a portfolio of stand builder and exhibition organiser clients.

You will coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard, while also supporting with planning and on-site delivery across events

Birmingham City Centre | £40,000 to £45,000 DOE | Permanent, full time

• Basic salary £40,000 to £45,000, dependent on experience

Disrupt Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well established, award winning provider of project managed AV rental and staging services, delivering over 700 live events and 500 dry hires each year across the UK and internationally. Recently recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work, the business has built a genuine reputation for exceptional client relationships and quality delivery.

This role sits within a well established exhibitions division that has recently picked up an industry award, and offers real scope to grow a client portfolio while getting hands on with technical delivery.

The opportunity

This role blends client account management with hands on project and technical delivery, initially on smaller projects with support available as required. You'll be the primary point of contact for a small portfolio of stand builder and exhibition organiser clients, while also assisting with technical and production planning and on site delivery where needed. You'll work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard, and work alongside the Exhibitions Director in building out the wider client portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of stand builder and exhibition organiser clients, acting as their trusted point of contact
• Understanding client requirements and proactively identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen accounts
• Handling screen hire and cross hire bookings, coordinating with relevant teams for timely, accurate fulfilment
• Providing regular, clear updates to clients and attending meetings both on site and remotely
• Assisting with technical and production specifications, quotations and site visits
• Managing the full on site process at events, including technical delivery, on site crew and bought in services, and health and safety management, sometimes managing multiple theatres alongside screen hire
• Owning budget planning and control for projects
• Leading detailed post event feedback and analysis with clients
• Using internal systems to manage, update and track jobs throughout the project lifecycle
• Reading and working with CAD plans to support client briefs and project planning
• Liaising with internal departments and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery across all client activity

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in an account management, client facing or project delivery role, ideally within events, exhibitions or AV
• Wide experience of the live event industry, ideally including projects with technical budgets
• Basic technical and production knowledge across live events, including audio, video systems (projection, control, LED, cameras and vision mixing), lighting, and set and staging
• A confident communicator with strong relationship building and people management skills, including managing on site teams
• Organised and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working under your own initiative and under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines
• A proactive, solutions focused approach to client service
• Full UK driving licence
• Basic technical skills across AV systems
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Calm under pressure with strong planning and organisational skills
