Job description

We are working exclusively with our client to find an Account Manager.

About:

Our client is a fast-growing data, software and analytics business helping organisations operating in complex global markets make better commercial decisions.

Founded by industry specialists, the company has developed from a specialist research provider into a trusted intelligence platform used by hundreds of organisations worldwide.

Following significant year-on-year growth and substantial institutional investment, the business is continuing to expand internationally and invest in its post-sales organisation. It is now hiring an Account Manager to protect recurring revenue, lead commercial relationships and uncover opportunities for long-term account growth.

This is a commercially focused post-sales position. Customer Success owns activation and adoption, while the Account Manager takes overall commercial ownership of each account, leading renewals, building relationships across the organisation and developing expansion opportunities.

Key Highlights:
  • Established software and data business delivering strong year-on-year recurring revenue growth.
  • Backed by significant institutional investment to support continued international expansion.
  • Trusted by hundreds of organisations operating across complex and fast-changing global markets.
  • Strong and improving customer retention, alongside an established base of recurring expansion revenue.
  • Join a dedicated post-sales organisation with clearly defined Account Management and Customer Success responsibilities.
  • Customer Success owns activation and adoption, while Account Management is responsible for retention and post-sales revenue.
  • Manage approximately 25 business and enterprise customers representing around £1.5m in recurring revenue.
  • Average account value of approximately £55k, alongside several six-figure strategic customers.
  • Expansion opportunities across additional products, increased usage, subscription upgrades and wider organisational adoption.
  • Work with a new tiered pricing structure designed to create a clearer and more scalable expansion motion.
  • Help shape account planning, renewal and expansion processes as the post-sales function continues to scale.
Role:
  • Own a portfolio of approximately 25 business and enterprise customers representing around £1.5m in recurring revenue.
  • Act as the commercial owner of each account, taking responsibility for retention, renewals and long-term revenue growth.
  • Build trusted relationships across senior decision-makers, commercial sponsors, operational stakeholders and day-to-day platform users.
  • Map customer organisations proactively, identifying relevant teams, stakeholders, priorities and potential areas for wider adoption.
  • Run consultative discovery with existing customers to understand their challenges, strategic priorities and changing requirements.
  • Develop structured account plans covering stakeholder engagement, renewal readiness, commercial risk and expansion potential.
  • Lead renewal conversations and ensure risks are identified and addressed well ahead of contract deadlines.
  • Identify and progress cross-sell opportunities, increased usage and movement into higher subscription tiers.
  • Demonstrate the commercial value customers receive from data, forecasting and market intelligence.
  • Work closely with Customer Success to ensure activation and adoption support the wider retention and growth strategy.
  • Coordinate with Product, Sales and leadership to resolve customer challenges and deliver a consistently high-quality experience.
  • Maintain accurate account, renewal and expansion forecasts within the CRM.
  • Take genuine ownership when a customer has a suboptimal experience, coordinating the appropriate internal response and following through to resolution.
  • Help strengthen the company’s account-management playbook as its pricing model and post-sales organisation continue to evolve.
Requirements:
  • Approximately three or more years’ experience in account management, customer success or another commercially focused post-sales role.
  • Experience owning renewals, retention and expansion within an existing B2B customer portfolio.
  • A strong record of retaining and growing complex, high-value accounts.
  • Confident managing business and enterprise customers, including accounts worth six figures annually.
  • Strong consultative discovery skills and genuine curiosity about customers’ businesses, challenges and priorities.
  • Able to map complex accounts and develop relationships beyond a single champion or day-to-day user.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify credible cross-sell, usage-growth and tier-upgrade opportunities.
  • Comfortable being measured against recurring-revenue outcomes such as GRR, NRR, renewals and expansion.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the credibility to represent the business in front of its largest customers.
  • Highly accountable, proactive and willing to take full ownership of the customer experience.
  • Comfortable working in a scaling technology business where processes and commercial models are still evolving.
  • Able to operate flexibly rather than relying on a rigid account-management playbook.
  • Experience within energy, utilities, financial markets, data or market intelligence would be valuable but is not essential.
  • Experience in consulting or another commercially focused role serving similar stakeholders could also translate well.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or another structured commercial methodology would be advantageous.
  • Stock options.
  • Hybrid working from the London office three days per week.
  • 25 days’ paid annual leave plus five flexidays.
  • Private healthcare and dental cover for you, your partner and your children.
