Job summary

Alma Personnel is seeking a motivated Internal Sales Executive to join a fast-paced, commercially driven team in the UK. You will manage an established portfolio while proactively generating new business, building lasting customer relationships and responding to inquiries by phone and email.

You will prepare quotations, negotiate where appropriate and convert opportunities into orders, while meeting targets and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Previous internal sales experience.
• Strong background in account management and business development.
• Identify commercial opportunities and convert them into profitable sales.
• Confidence in making outbound calls and developing new customer relationships.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, confident and resilient approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and enquiries simultaneously.
• Good commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing and growing an established portfolio of customer accounts.
• Generating new business through proactive sales activity and identifying potential customers.
• Developing strong, long-term relationships with customers.
• Responding to incoming sales enquiries by telephone and email.
• Preparing quotations, negotiating where appropriate and converting opportunities into orders.
• Following up on outstanding quotations to maximise sales and secure new business.
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue through existing customer accounts.
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
• Working alongside purchasing, operations and other internal departments to meet customer expectations.
• Maintaining accurate customer records, quotations and sales information.
• Monitoring outstanding enquiries and ensuring all potential opportunities are progressed.
• Working towards individual sales targets and contributing to the wider commercial objectives of the business.
• Keeping informed of industry developments, market trends and customer requirements
