Job summary

WTW is seeking an Account Executive to join the placing team focused on construction-related insurances. You will manage day-to-day client service, deliver technical expertise, and support renewals and placements in London and overseas markets.

The role requires grasp of insurance programmes, strong relationship skills, and the ability to work across processes and data systems. A degree or ACII, plus multilingual capability, is desirable.

Qualifications

• Some technical knowledge of insurance

• Experience with client service delivery processes and systems
• Fluency in French or another European language preferable
• Degree level education or equivalent industry experience preferred
• ACII or similar professional qualifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Day to day client service, addressing requests and queries from clients, insurers and other third parties
• Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise as required
• Understand client’s business and risk management needs and deliver ongoing service
• Understand client’s insurance programmes and utilise them accordingly
• Maintain information on database
• Prepare documentation for renewals/place of business in London and overseas markets
• Prepare market presentations/underwriting submissions as required
• Interpret quotations to fit client needs and negotiate with insurers
• Complete reports and summaries for clients and networks
• Attend key client and market meetings
• Collaborate with clients, insurers and overseas network to resolve issues

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join us as an Account Executive working within WTW’s dedicated placing team, administering and arranging construction related insurances.

You don't necessarily need to have construction insurance experience, but we are looking for candidates who already do have some technical insurance knowledge and willing to learn.

The Role

• Day to day client service, addressing requests and queries from clients, insurers and other third parties
• Provision of technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required
• Understanding client’s business and risk management needs and delivering them through the provision of ongoing service
• Understanding client’s insurance programmes and utilising them in accordance with the client’s insurance and risk management philosophy
• Maintenance of information on database
• Application of technical and client knowledge to preparation of documentation required to renew/place business within London and overseas markets (including MRCs, endorsements, etc.)
• Preparation of market presentations/underwriting submissions as required
• Interpretation and review of quotations, to ensure fit for purpose and meet client demands/needs
• Negotiation of terms and cover alterations with insurers and presentation to the client
• Completion of reports as required – applying both technical and bespoke client knowledge
• Completion of summaries of insurance for all interested parties (client/network) – applying both technical and client knowledge
• Attendance at key client and market meetings
• Working with clients, insurers and overseas network to address and resolve technical and other issues

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

• Some technical knowledge of insurance (and ideally, specifically construction insurance, but this is not essential)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the client and insurers and maintain strong relationships
• Excellent client focus with proven experience of delivery of high levels of direct client service
• Ability to analyse situations and provide recommendations to identify optimum solutions for clients
• Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems that support client service delivery
• Intermediate level of IT systems (as a minimum Microsoft Office)
• Intermediate knowledge of data analysis
• Good presentation skills
• Fluency in French or another European language is preferable but not essential.
• Preferably educated to a degree level or relevant industry experience
• Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or similar
