Job Description

About the Job

Broadsheet Media is Australia’s leading culture publisher and an award-winning media brand. With our ambitious expansion into the UK market with the launch of Broadsheet London, we aim to bring our distinctive voice to one of the world’s most dynamic cultural capitals.

This role is a rare opportunity to help build the operational foundation of a trusted and influential media brand as it launches in a new market, playing a vital part in how Broadsheet London comes to life for audiences, partners, and employees alike.

We connect millions of readers each month with the best of their cities and communities - from food and fashion, to the arts, theatre, music, and travel.

We are seeking a talented, driven, and culturally connected Account and Operations Manager to lead our business operations and client management.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly organised, action-oriented Account and Operations Manager to help us launch and run our London business. This is a pivotal role that blends operations, project management, client support, and execution. You’ll be the engine that keeps things running – someone who thrives on getting things done and wearing multiple hats as we build momentum in the UK.

You’ll work closely with the Publisher and Senior Leadership Team (based across Australia and London), supporting both the commercial and editorial sides of the business. You’ll also help coordinate print publishing and event production, run internal projects, and support our clients and partners. It’s a varied, hands-on role that would suit a smart, resourceful operator who’s excited about being part of something from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • General Operations: Keep our small but rapidly growing team on track by managing internal processes, systems, and day-to-day logistics.
  • Project Management: Own and deliver a range of projects – from internal initiatives to audience-facing marketing campaigns and client partnerships.
  • Print Production & Distribution: Manage the end-to-end process for our London print edition, including liaising with printers and distributors, overseeing timelines, and managing distribution.
  • HR & Onboarding Support: Assist with hiring logistics, onboarding new staff and freelancers, and helping us establish smooth people operations in a new market.
  • SLT & Publisher Support: Work closely with the Publisher and senior leadership to turn strategic direction into clear plans and effective execution.
  • Commercial & Client Support: Collaborate with the commercial team to help deliver exceptional service to partners – from campaign planning to post-campaign reporting and relationship management.
  • Event Support: Help scope, plan, and deliver small-to-medium events for Broadsheet and our partners – including logistics, vendor management, and on-the-ground execution.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive operator who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment. You have excellent organisational skills and get energy from seeing things through to completion. Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, you can balance a wide range of responsibilities while staying collaborative, curious, and excited about helping shape the future of Broadsheet in London.

Key Attributes

  • Organisation: A natural organiser and problem solver who gets energy from getting things done.
  • Cultural insight: An understanding of culture, what makes it tick, what makes it interesting and Broadsheet's role within it.
  • Independent and accountable: You can hold your own in an entrepreneurial start-up environment and be relied upon to deliver.
  • Collaborative and communicative: Confident dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with both partners and internal stakeholders. You’re able to understand client needs, communicate clearly, and ensure delivery exceeds expectations.

With the launch of Broadsheet London, we expand our ambition to one of the world’s most dynamic cultural capitals.

Our people value open-mindedness, honest communication, and collaboration. They are driven, embrace creativity, and contribute broadly across the organization. Devoted to excellence, they aim for industry-leading work while maintaining a sense of enjoyment and perspective.
