Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an A&E Receptionist to join the Emergency Department team at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury. You will greet patients, relatives and visitors, register and discharge using the ED IT systems, and handle a variety of enquiries with confidentiality and efficiency.

The role operates 24/7 with flexible shifts, including unsociable hours and public holidays, and involves additional duties to ensure a high-quality service.

Qualifications

Registering and discharging patients on the emergency department IT system, GP OOH system, recording admission details on Patient Centre.
Dealing with a range of face to face and telephone enquiries from nursing and medical staff, patients, relatives, GPs and external agencies providing general advice and information.
A comprehensive range of administrative and clerical duties are undertaken.
