Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled 7.5T Driver to join our Carlisle team, delivering and collecting from customer sites with a focus on timeliness and excellent customer service.

You will operate commercial vehicles, ensure roadworthiness and load security, and respect safety regulations. Requires C1 license, CPC, tachograph card, and IT familiarity; FORS know‑how desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C1 – with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certification is required.
• Tachograph card is required.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable.
• IT systems proficiency desirable.
• FORS compliance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys and secure loads.
• Load and unload rental and equipment including heavy plant.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety and working time requirements.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5T Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
