Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team and ensure timely collections and deliveries from customer sites, with all work conducted to safety standards. Full training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role.

You will operate commercial vehicles, perform safety checks, visit customer premises, and install plant attachments while complying with drivers' hours rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C1 – with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certified is required.
• Tachograph card holder.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Plant maintenance or mechanical experience is desirable, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transport of goods.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys and manage loading/unloading of loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Install plant attachment equipment on customer sites.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Installing plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
