Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Greater London. The role involves timely collection and deliveries, safe vehicle operation, and plant attachment installations on customer sites. Full training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role.

You will visit customer premises, maintain safety standards, and ensure compliance with road and company policies while upholding excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C1 - with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Plant maintenance or mechanical experience is desirable, however training can be provided
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable)
• FORS compliant (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Operate 7.5 Tonne vehicles for timely collection and deliveries to customer sites.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before journeys; load/unload securely.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Install plant attachment equipment on client sites.
• Comply with legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Installing plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
