Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will drive a 3.5t vehicle, load and unload goods, and ensure on-time deliveries to our customers while delivering great service.

The role requires a Cat B / 3.5T licence and at least two years’ driving experience; weekend shifts may apply as part of a 7-day operation. We value reliability and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years).
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Help keep customer shelves stocked with necessary products.
• Provide reliable, timely deliveries and build relationships with regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
