Job summary

Booker requires a reliable Van Driver to join our delivery team in a permanent role. You will perform picker and driver duties to support the delivery operation, ensuring customers receive orders on time with a high standard of service.

You will need a full driving license, a can-do attitude and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes punctuality, presentation, and teamwork to maintain service levels.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick and dispatch goods using a hand-held terminal.
Check quality, shelf life and ensure robust packaging for delivery.
Provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries.
Deliver goods to customers and respond to queries or complaints.
Load stock into the vehicle and complete paperwork correctly.
Work with delivery team to support first-class service.

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

You will be responsible for

Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods bypicking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.
Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.
Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and to target.
Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.
Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.
You will be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
