Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local-coverage team in the York area. You will drive 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, delivering to regular customers and building relationships. Overtime and fully funded CPC training hours are available.

Applicants should have a CatC / 18T licence, at least two years of driving experience, and a strong customer service mindset with good literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence is required.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch.
• Unload stock at customer premises and ensure delivery accuracy.
• Complete paperwork accurately for each delivery.
• Deliver to customers and maintain good service.
• Follow shift patterns, including weekends.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
