2nd Line NOC Engineer
Location: Redhill, Surrey. Full-time on-site.
Salary: GBP 35-37.5k with benefits such as bonus, private health, enhanced pension, and more.
Working Pattern: 4 on, 4 off shifts, 8-8 hours (1 week days, 1 week nights).
This role is with a telecoms service provider experiencing continuous growth. The company is well-funded, expanding its contracts across private and public sectors.
They are an exciting organization with over 250 employees and offices worldwide, providing connectivity, communication, and IT solutions to sectors including maritime, defence, and commercial.
You will join a team of 10 in the Redhill office, working in the NOC, reporting to the Head of Operations. Your shift will include 6-10 engineers, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line engineers, plus a team lead.
In this position, you will handle escalations from 1st line support and perform proactive system monitoring. Some systems are bespoke, so a solid foundational knowledge and willingness to learn are essential. You will liaise with internal teams and external customers, making service provider experience key.
Your background:
Ideally, you have experience with a telecoms company, possibly in a customer-facing role. You might currently be at 2nd line or have been at 1st line and seeking career progression. The environment is Juniper-biased, but we are open to various vendor backgrounds.
The office is based in Redhill; candidates should live within commuting distance.
