Job summary

Meridian Trust is recruiting a 2nd Line IT Technician to support schools in North Northamptonshire. You will handle escalated IT issues, assist apprentices and 1st line technicians, and maintain central and localised systems to ensure smooth operations across sites.

The role requires a proactive attitude, GCSEs in English and Maths, and IT qualifications or equivalent. Driving licence is desirable for travel between sites and the Trust offers various benefits.

Qualifications

• Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• IT Qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Excellent Experience of IT Troubleshooting.
• Experience of administering computer systems & networks (Change logs, backup, Anti-Virus checks and general updates).
• Good knowledge of PC, Windows Operating Systems and other IT hardware.
• Working knowledge of a range of software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians with escalated IT problems.
• Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand.
• Maintenance, upgrades and availability of central and localised systems allocated to your team.
• Support the IT services team to ensure smooth running of systems and assist users to operate efficiently.
