Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a 2nd Line IT Technician to support schools in North Northamptonshire. The role involves handling 1st and 2nd line issues and escalations, with travel between sites encouraged by a driving licence.

You will work as part of a small team to maintain and upgrade systems, ensuring optimum efficiency for staff and students across the Trust. Benefits include a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• IT Qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Excellent Experience of IT Troubleshooting.
• Experience of administering computer systems & networks (Change logs, backup, Anti-Virus checks and general updates).

Responsibilities

• Assist Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians with escalated IT problems.
• Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand.
• Maintain, upgrade and ensure availability of central and localised systems.
• Support the IT services team to ensure smooth operation of ICT for users.
