Job summary

Cathcart Technology in Edinburgh is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a growing MSP. The role is predominantly office-based with hybrid working after six months and involves solving complex user issues across Microsoft 365, Windows and macOS, plus networking.

You will take ownership of tickets through to resolution, maintain documentation, and deliver high-quality customer service on-site in central Scotland with occasional travel. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac support.
• Solid networking and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• MSP experience and certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 2nd line support across varied client base
• Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, macOS and networking issues
• Resolving escalated hardware, software and connectivity problems
• Taking ownership of tickets through to resolution
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation
