Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking a 2nd line IT Support Engineer in Edinburgh to support a diverse client base. The role is onsite with hybrid working after six months, offering a salary of £32,000 - £35,000 and a range of benefits.

You will troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS, resolve hardware and connectivity issues, and maintain thorough documentation while delivering excellent customer service. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a 2nd line IT support role.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Windows, and Mac support experience.
• Solid networking and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• MSP experience (desirable).
• Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar certifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support across a varied client base.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows, macOS, and networking issues.
• Resolve escalated hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Take ownership of tickets through to resolution.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
