Job summary

The JobsBoard is hiring a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer in Ashford, Kent. The role is office-based with occasional client-site visits and requires a full driving license. You will troubleshoot Windows desktops, Microsoft 365, AD and Intune, supporting customers across Kent, London and the South East.

We welcome candidates with MSP experience or strong 1st line engineers ready for more responsibility, with opportunities for Microsoft certifications and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service desk role with ability to troubleshoot beyond basic checks.
• Windows desktop and Microsoft 365 support experience.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, account administration and user permissions; networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Resolve 2nd line IT support incidents remotely and at client sites.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, Microsoft 365, user accounts, applications and connectivity problems.
• Support Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Administer users, groups and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Assist with device configuration, deployment and management using Microsoft Intune.
• Investigate networking issues: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPN.
• Manage ticket queue and SLAs.
