Job summary

Pilgrim Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust, is seeking two cleaners to join our friendly facilities team. You will undertake cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors and washrooms, supporting a clean and safe learning environment.

The post is part-time (10 hours per week) during term time (41 weeks per year), with a 3:15pm–5:15pm daily schedule and occasional deep cleans during summer holidays; the role includes seasonal workload and ongoing LGPS pension eligibility.

Location: Pilgrim Primary Academy, Oxford Street, Plymouth, PL1 5BQ

Salary Range: Grade A, £24,796, pro‑rata, per annum

Hours/Contract: Part‑time, 10 hours per week, Permanent, Term time, 41 weeks a year

The Role: We are looking to recruit two new cleaners to join our friendly team. Duties include general cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors and washrooms. You will work 41 weeks per year (10 hours per week, 3:15 pm – 5:15 pm Monday to Friday plus a week’s deep clean in the Summer Holidays (20 hours) with flexibility for extra cleaning throughout the day if required.

Responsibilities: General cleaning of teaching and support areas, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring supplies are stocked and reported, participating in a regular cleaning schedule and any special cleaning tasks as directed.
