NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking a compassionate SPOC Cancer Coordinator to provide a consistent point of contact for patients referred with suspected cancer or diagnosed cancer. You will coordinate appointments and liaise with clinical teams to support patients and families throughout their cancer journey.
You will work in collaboration with Cancer Nurse Specialists and booking teams to ensure accurate records and timely pathways, contributing to the evolving SPOC model within the Oncology

We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to join our Oncology Department as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Cancer Coordinators. This role sits at the heart of cancer patient support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway, providing a consistent, accessible and person-centred point of contact for people referred with an urgent suspicion of cancer or those already diagnosed. You will co-ordinate patient pathways, help ensure timely access to appointments, and work closely with clinical teams to support patients and families at all stages of their cancer journey. This is also a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the SPOC model—an innovative and evolving approach to cancer care.

Must be able to travel independently. You will join a supportive team within the Acute & Diagnostics Directorate at DGRI, working collaboratively across regional and local cancer services.
