Job summary

Severn Trent is recruiting a Network Controller for its 7-week rotating shift pattern in a fast-paced OCC environment on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will diagnose issues using real-time data, coordinate responses to keep water flowing 24/7, and report to the Network Control Lead.

The role includes full training and the use of Synergi, Escada and GISST to develop analytical and stakeholder-management skills, with a focus on reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical data skills and ability to draw actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across levels of the organisation.
• Full training will be provided; water network operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Real-time problem solving: analyse data to diagnose network issues and minimize customer impact.
• Incident management: maintain detailed logs of actions and decisions during incidents.
• Utilize advanced tools: use Synergi, Escada, and GISST to find best solutions considering water quality and customer impact.
• Leadership during crises: take the lead during incidents and communicate with stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement: drive initiatives to enhance network performance and efficiency.
