Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a ROC Shift Manager to lead operations at our Remote Operations Centre near Sheffield. You will oversee 24/7 plant performance, respond to alarms, and drive improvements across multiple facilities with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires control room or process operations experience, proficiency with SCADA/PCS7, and strong analytical skills. Excellent career prospects and a competitive package await in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• HNC or above in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience in a control room or process operations environment.
• Experience using industrial control systems such as SCADA, PCS7 Siemens or similar.
• Strong analytical and fault-finding skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure.
• Proactive, safety-first mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and controlling plant performance across a 24-hour operation.
• Responding to alarms, process disturbances and operational issues to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Investigating faults using plant data and performance trends to identify root causes and improvements.
• Managing plant start-ups and operational changes to meet customer demand while optimising efficiency and costs.
• Carrying out performance reviews and recommending improvements to maximise plant reliability and productivity.
• Ensuring high standards of process safety, compliance and operational excellence.
