Job summary
Fugro’s Remote Operations Centre in Aberdeen is seeking a ROC Engineer to maintain available, reliable remote operations. Working from the central onshore hub, you will provide hands-on technical support across operational systems, workstations and communications.
This rotational 12-hour shift role suits someone with offshore experience in inspection, survey or ROV operations, who is practical, methodical and able to troubleshoot a range of technologies while collaborating with global teams.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of OT, computer systems, networking and related hardware.
- Ability to diagnose faults, assess impact and resolve or escalate.
- Experience supporting live offshore and remote operations; uptime critical.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for ROC systems and equipment.
- Configure ROC workstations and systems ahead of planned operations.
- Support mobilisation/d mobilisation of remote operations within the ROC.
- Monitor system health and respond to faults to maintain availability.
- Troubleshoot live operations and escalate to specialists as needed.
- Assist with integration and testing of new tech and changes.
